New exhibition Hull Traders fabric
20th Century fabric curator Lesley Jackson has just emailed me regarding this fabulous new exhibition on Shirley Craven's screen printed textiles for Hull Traders. The exhibition is at the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull 3rd Oct 2009 - 3rd January 2010.

My daughter's colourful bedroom
People often ask me what my daughter's room is like at home so I including a few snap shots. (I've not included the cot as it isn't very interesting.) Cushions are from vintage fabrics, yellow lamp is a vintage Conran one for Habitat, animal curtains are vintage Habitat, yellow pinafore and dolls are ones I've designed for Clothkits and the cushion on the chair was made from a 70's linen tea towel.

Vintage french dress
Normally I find things for myself at the Brighton boot Sale buy yesterday I bought one item - a vintage french knitted dress for my one year old! The other photos are from a 1973 book illustrated by Gwen Fulton - I like the striped jumpers!
